Delbert + Leona Block of the Month

Delbert + Leona Block of the Month is a distinguished quilt project by Whirligig Designs that honors the women who inspire our craft. Using the rich Autumn Mist collection from Hoffman Bali Batiks, this quilt pays tribute to designer Chris’s Aunt Leona, who first taught her to sew. Featuring warm, earthy batiks and timeless piecing, this quilt offers a refined blend of tradition and artistry, making each stitch a meaningful celebration of legacy and skill.

Basic piecing techniques with easy-to-follow instructions, combined with a variety of block sizes make this quilt desirable for both the confident beginner and the savvy quilter alike. Delbert + Leona quilt measures 104" x 104".

Our Block-of-the-Month kits contain all the identical fabrics used in the original quilt.  During this 12-Month Standard or 13-Month Standard Plus Block of the Month (BOM) program, you will receive the pattern and fabrics needed to complete the quilt top including borders and binding. There is a $25 non-refundable registration fee to begin. Backing is sold separately.

Delbert + Leona Block of the Month Program

Fabrics: All fabrics are the exact fabric line as used in the original design.  Our store does not make substitutions on the fabrics!

Delbert + Leona Block of the Month Program Includes:

• Delbert + Leona quilt pattern + instructions
• Fabric for the quilt top, borders and binding

• Exclusive monthly Bound in Stitches Fabric Placement Keys

Delbert + Leona BOM Program 

• Program includes full size patterns, all fabrics for quilt top including borders and binding.
• $25.00 non-refundable registration fee, then $32.95 per month for the 12-Month Standard Program or $39.95 per month for the 13-Month Standard Plus program  (includes the backing kit)  + Shipping & Handling.  Once you register for the program, you will receive an email invoice each month for your kit and the shipping & handling if you choose to have us ship it.  Once your payment is received, your kit for that month will be sent.

When you register for any of our BOM (Block of the Month) programs, it is understood that you are registering for the entire program.  We will abide by this and prepare a kit for you each month with the understanding that you will remain in the program for the duration.
