Judy Niemeyer

Judy Niemeyer is an international instructor, designer, and owner of Quiltworx – Judy Niemeyer Quilting in Northwest Montana. She is known for her foundation paper piecing techniques and quilt patterns. Her quilts and patterns have become well-known among quilters and quilt shop owners around the world. The patterns include many sewing techniques commonly referred to as foundation paper piecing, traditional piecing, curved piecing, strip piecing, and appliqué.

Judy along with her daughter and Business Manager, Judel Niemeyer, have worked together to design fabrics to compliment Quiltworx patterns.  They enjoy watching quilters use their designs to create as well as use Quiltworx fabrics the same way they have the patterns over the years; as a way to creatively express themselves and give back to those they care about the most, through the gift of a quilt. 

Michelle, owner of Bound in Stitches, had the opportunity to take a class from Judy in 2001.  Her patterns, although complex, are attainable when you take your time and enjoy the learning process!
